What to do when it is so cold...

It was 40 below zero here on Friday so Guthrie decided to just sit at home and read. He finished off Baby Faces and headed right into My Animals.

Bumbo

Guthrie is working on sitting up with the help of his Bumbo. He does pretty well, and gives us some good smiles while sitting in it. He does get tired quickly though, so we have to be fast with the camera.

A Proud Baba

A FIRST

This video shows the first time Guthrie used his hands to play with a toy. It was several weeks ago now....

Sorry for the quality of the video. The music is Etta Baker playing Dew Drop.

Christmas continues...

Guthrie got even more Christmas gifts.

We felt that the bow completed the outfit.

B.F.F.s (2)

Lewis came over to play with Guthrie.

The Holidays Part II

More pictures with the Santa Suit.

A little too much holiday cheer for this elf.

The Holidays Part I

We got a lot of mileage out of that outfit...

Who needs a pacifier?

This is how I spend most of my day.

Party in Kaukauna

Here are some photos taken at a party in Kaukauna.

I didn't last too long...

Hangin with my friends

Krinkles, Yellow Duck, and the rest of the gang were hanging out at my house.

Aunt Rocky

My great Aunt Rocky also came into town from Iowa.

Grandpa!

Grandpa was in from Texas. He sure gives great bear hugs...

Grandma visits

Both Guthrie and Grandma love NY.
3 Generations

Talking

Even though I know he won't start talking for another year or so, he seems pretty ready to go.

... Thanks to Grandma Nash for lending us her nifty camera...

Buddha Guthrie

While it's tempting to leave this pic as it is... I feel I must explain.

When Scott is home with Guthrie, he eats from a bottle - and he tends to over-indulge. This is how I found them when I came home from work the other day.

Around Thanksgiving

Sleeping Beauty and Guthrie in his snow suit.

The only way we can get Guthrie in this super cute monkey hat is to catch him when he's sleeping.

Guthrie is an excellent conversationalist.

Cousin Wes!

Cousin Wes came to visit from Tuscon (his parents came too). In reality they did not really notice each other much but we all had a great time hanging out with them in Milwaukee.
Thanks Wes!
Even though Wes looks happy here - he did notice when his mom held Guthrie - and he didn't like it.
Wes showed us all his Tuscon outfit.

Family Photo

Go Bucky!!

Ok here it is, the mandatory Badger photo. Don't worry Badger fans there will be more pictures to come. This boy better not grow up to be a Hawkeye!

Smiles and frowns...

Lately Guthrie has started to smile, which has made his parents very happy.

He does throw in a frown once and a while to keep us honest.

B.F.F.s

Guthrie's BFF: No not the cats, not the Mobile, but his neighbor Lewis. Here are some pictures of Guthrie and his best friend Lewis. They voted together, played in the leaves together, and well, I'm not sure Lewis is into the kissing thing.

election day

We voted as a family on a gorgeous day in Madison and Guthrie was so psyched his candidate won (I think he slept through most of the voting process). We posed on our neighbors' lawn for a family photo and there were lots of fireworks that night when the outcome was announced. Madison, of course, was euphoric... (I promise this will be the only political post on Guthrie's blog but I couldn't resist one of our only family shots.)

halloween

It was warm here on Halloween. So Guthrie got to hang out in the breeze on our back porch.
